What Are The Side-effects Of Shifting From Vyvanse To Adderall?

default
Posted on Wed, 12 Oct 2016
Question: Hello,

I got switched from Vyvanse 60 mg to Adderall XR 30 mg. It's only been a couple days, but I've felt horrible since I switched; very "zombie" like. I'm actually more tired then usual. Is this this a result of switching or am I having a bad response to the new med ?

Brief Answer:
I think you are having bad response

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Feeling like a Zombie, more tired than usual is more likely a side effect than the response of adderall. Although this side effect is not common, I rarely noticed in my patients, but few of the persons report the feeling of numbness, fatigue, muscle tenderness among others.

Having said this I feel rather than discontinuing you should continue the medication for time being. Fortunately side effect diminish over time and it is hoped that initial two weeks will be decisive for adderall in your case.
I assume that Vyvanse did not done its job properly and that lead to switching to adderall XR.

I hope this assists you.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
