Thanks for writing to us.
It seems due to some error, your question got uploaded an hour back.
Certain areas of our body like underarms, groins, genitals, inner thighs are dark due to friction, sweat and sometimes due to obesity. Also in genital area melanin synthesis is more due to hormonal influence. So if you do not have any abnormal discoloration, be assured that your potential sex partner might not find it unusual or unattractive. Still if you feel you need some treatment, you might use mild vitamin c, Kojic acid arbutin based creams to reduce pigmentation to some extent. Also if you are on heavier side, try and reduce weight gain.

As far as increased abdominal girth and gynaecomastia( increased breast tissue) in your partner is concerned, I would advise jogging walking or any cardio exercise along with diet control to reduce weight and fat. However if the same is not useful, he might need liposuction for abdomen and reduction surgery for gynaecomastia. These options can be discussed with a surgeon as these are beyond a dermatologist's expertise and knowledge.
Hope that answered your query. Should there be a doubt, please write back.

Thanks for writing to us.
As I said underarms, groins, inner side of thighs and genitals are normally dark. Elbows and knees are rough and dark due to friction.
To lighten and soften your elbows and knees use milk cream, granulated sugar with lemon juice to soften and lighten knees and elbows. Apply moisturisers with squalene, urea and lactic acid to keep it soft.
Underarms, genitals are sensitive areas so do not use lemon juice directly. For these areas use a concoction of oat meal, tomato, few drops of lemon juice, yogurt everyday. The same can be used over face.

Your partner, if not obese would require options I suggested in my previous post to treat localised areas of fat and soft tissue accumulation.

Be confident about yourself. Our life and body is god's gift, so it is our duty to maintain, nourish and nurture it. I am glad that you had the courage to leave behind an abusive relationship esp after such a long time. You are an inspiration!! Having said this, I would just like to add, somebody who loves you truly would always overlook your flaws esp as superficial as dark elbows or underarms. So do not restrict your self or worry about your body image. Just go with the flow

Hope that helped. Should there be any other doubt, please write back.

Wishing you a healthy and beautiful life ahead.
Take care
