Brief Answer:
The question reached me XXXXXXX always here to help

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

It is indeed Dr. Shoaib Khan here. The HCM team is professional enough, and if you ask for me then your question will reach me XXXXXXX so do not worry.

I guess you closed the last query by mistake after I asked you why you were worried about cancer. So if you were exposed to cigarette smoke on a daily basis then you should have a higher risk of upper respiratory tract cancer (e.g. pharynx, larynx, throat, oral cavity, etc.) or your lungs. So following would be my advise:

+Get a throat swab conducted on a regular basis (e.g. once in 6 months)
+A chest xray should be the primary step, only if a lesion is observed should we pursue further investigations
+And most importantly XXXXXXX close your windows and doors at all times, shift if your house is rented, speak to your neighbour or even place a complaint with the authorities

I am always here to help you sir. Do not worry, and all you need to do anytime in the future is just mention my name in your query and it shall reach me.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
My sincere apologies for the delay, holiday is culminating soon :)

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

Here are a few questions from the information you provided sir:

1. What kind or type of cancer did your father have?

Thats great about the MRI, which is why I recommended it in the first place, and did not really want an x-ray either way. :) But I am happy you are getting through the process of getting one done, and also meeting a specialist.

A throat swab can predict any future possibilities, especially as one particular type of infection which very often causes oral cancer (HPV). This is the reason why I recommended the oral swab test as well XXXXXXX :)

I am really sorry for replying to you late, as today is the last day of my holidays (in India) and my vacation is culminating which is why I have been busy. I will be travelling the whole of tomorrow, and reach home (back in Russia) by mid day on the 14th, so please do wait for my response if at all I am not able to respond in between sir. :)

That is great news that you are meeting the specialist tomorrow, I am really happy. Yes, please do share the MRI film as well as the printed report with me sir, I would really want that information.

You too have a lovely night sir, hoping and praying from your recovery at the earliest.

Best wishes.
Brief Answer:
Yes pls do write to me with the MRI result

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again XXXXXXX

Yes, I did have an amazing time with family and during my vacation, now back to base and back to work. :)

I can understand how you must be worried, but do not worry. I will recommend tests for you, and also read all the results out for you so we can both be a 100 % sure that you are completely cancer free.

Yes, please do get the MRI conducted and write to me with the result, as well as what your doctor says about the result. As for the oral swab test, it is best to get it conducted as even slight information will be important, mainly because you are concerned and worried. I know the doctor who recommended against the oral swab was not wrong in doing so, but he did not understand that some times we should test for the patients satisfaction, and not just for the doctors satisfaction.

But I am sure you will be fine sir. Keep in touch and let me know about any developments whatsoever.

Best wishes.

Brief Answer:
hello once again XXXXXXX good to know that the MRI is done

Detailed Answer:
Hello once again sir.

You will have to wait until February or end of January just to receive the MRI result? Can you not receive it without making an appointment with your doctor? Because I can read it and interpret it for you, that can save us some time don't you think?

No need to cancel the appointment with your doctor, as we will need his help for management, but just to interpret the MRI result I can help you, please do let me know.

Best wishes sir.
