Brief Answer:
does not adversely affect the baby

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Let me assure you that Primolut-N will not adversely affect the baby even if she has taken it for 7 days after conception. There is no problem in continuing with the pregnancy. No need to abort.

on other websites we have read that norethisterone primolut N 5 mg have adverse affect and will harm baby devlopment so we are worried for keeping baby. so just we want to double confirm it will not have adverse affect or have any problem in devlopment on baby and no need to abort right?

Also want to ask as we have 1.4 year baby( cesarean operation delivery) so can we take chance of second delivery and will not have any affect on mother or second baby due to this.

Brief Answer:
No need to worry.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Although Northisterone (a form of estrogen) is listed as pregnancy category: D in Australia and pregnancy category: X as per US FDA, let me assure you it is highly unlikely that taking it in the first month of pregnancy will produce any adverse effect. In fact, often the detection of pregnancy can get delayed to the first month or two and patients continue to take such pills till then. I have not seen a single case going wrong or needing termination of pregnancy on this ground. You need not worry.

You can definitely attempt the second pregnancy and post caesarean pregnancy might just need some additional precautions or proper follow up. This should not be a problem.

Brief Answer:
You can take the chance

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

I understand that adequate spacing between pregnancies gives you scope to redistribute efforts between the two children while the body gets time to recover. However, since the conception has already occurred, I see no justification for not going ahead with it. Nevertheless, it is your choice. I do not see any major problem in going ahead with the pregnancy.
