Question: I Quit taking Norvasc because I could not reach my doctor.
The drug was Norvasc. I appear to be slowly losing the use of my body. My feet are basically paralyzed. As the days go by. I can feel that I am slowly loosing the use of my body. It just slowly moves up my body. Is there any way this can be stopped?

Can you give me a prognosis?

Brief Answer:
Prognosis depends on the diagnosis. Some more details.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist, here to answer your query.

With your clinical description,I can understood that you are having gradually progressive ascending weakness in the lower limbs. Is that what you mean to say?
If yes,its hard to say that Norvasc is the cause of this weakness. It usually does not cause these adverse effects.

Prognosis actually depends on the diagnosis. Please let me know some more details so that I can answer this well-
1)Since when are you having these complaints?
2)Do you have a history of loss of sensations(hot, cold or touch) in extremities?
3)Do you have any bladder and bowel related symptoms?Any difficulty in micturition?
4)Any difficulty in speaking, swallowing, vision or eye movements?
5)Any past medical or disease history?

I shall be glad to have you in follow-up with details so that I can answer this well.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
