Brief Answer:
It's hereditary.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney.
I understand your concern.
See, you know this , still I am mentioning that height of a person depends on height of parents.
So, there are actually no safe ways to increase the height.
I don't advise any Medicines for this purpose , as they are first of all not safe and secondary there is no surity of increase in height.
I am sure, you will also not take any risks by using such medications.
At this age , we advise to eat good diet fully loaded with protein. You can even give him Calcium supl for a month or so.
Ask him to do regular exercise that includes running, skipping.
A good diet helps most in the body growth including the height.
If you have any further query please ask me.
Stay Healthy.

Brief Answer:
Doesn't require medications.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Friend.
Medicines are not indicated in her case to loose weight.
She should focus on exercise and diet.
There are medicines which we use in people for weight loss, but the are given in very obese people. Even with that medication, you need to do exercise and diet modification.
If you still wish, you can discuss with your doctor about Orlistat. This is a prescription Medicine. So you need to get a prescription from your doctor to obtain it.
If you have any further query please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
