Brief Answer:
Localized fluid collection in right leg and ankle could be due to DVT.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.

Retaining fluid in any part of body is called edema.
Edema occurs due to seepage of fluid from blood vessels into the tissue spaces.
Retaining fluid only in right leg and ankle suggests a local cause of edema.
Is there any history of injury or trauma to the right leg and foot?
Besides trauma, disorders of deep veins called deep vein thrombosis (DVT) can also lead to localized swelling and fluid collection.
I suggest you to consult a surgeon for clinical assessment of the swelling.
Further investigations like doppler ultrasound may be required.
If DVT is detected, appropriate management will be planned.

Thanks and take care
