Question: Dear Doc,

My granny is a paralysed patient, she is on bed for last 3.6 years.. Due to her old age and sickness, her mental situation is getting worse day by day.. Every now and then, She has new tantrums everyday.. Her right side is paralysed.. Now the situation is getting worse.. Her right eye is getting swollen and her voice is fumbling more.. I am attaching her prescription with this.. Please provide some solution..

I read your query and understand your concerns.

Alrhough her prescriptions are not much useful as there is no mentions of diagnosis but from my personal experince I feel she could respond better with low dose quetiapine such as 25 mg or 50 mg.

In addition I feel she should be evaluated for dementia and delirium which needs MRI brain and other biochemical tests such as B 12, thyriod, folic acid, vitamin D 3.
