Question: Does this look like a STD or just a reaction to my BV? I've had a bad yeast infection for about a month now, took Monistat 1 yesterday

Brief Answer:
Looks like more towards yeast infection rather than other STD.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Thanks for posting your query.
I saw the picture sent by you.
It reveals extensive excoriations and inflammation of your external genital area. This picture does not match with any other STD other than yeast infection. It is unlikely to be due to BV. Yeast infection can be confirmed with investigation on the vaginal secretion.
You had received Monistat 1 yesterday. It may take a week for you to get relieved considerably. Sometimes local application (ovules and cream) alone would not be sufficient to clear the infection. You may need a oral systemic treatment with T.Flucanazole or Itracanazole tablets along with antihistamines to relieve itching.
Your partner also should be taken care simultaneously. If you are having Diabetes or on certain drugs like steroids or oral contraceptive pills, then it will likely to recur. Consult an experienced physician and get well soon.
