Question: Dear Dr! - My baby kid's age is 11yrs. There is lot of hair loss and very weak. Even bones seem very weak.
? How to reduce the hair loss

I have gone through your query.Nutritional deficiency can be the most likely cause of hair loss and weakness. Anaemia , low protein and vitamin intake and hypothyroidism are usual causes.

Get a blood routine examination to rule out anaemia and thyroid profile to rule out hypothyroidism. In case of hypothyroidism taking thyroxine supplement is recommended.

In case of Iron deficiency taking Iron syrup like Dexorange will be helpful. Vitamin B12 and folic acid supplement also should be taken. Taking protein rich food like milk and milk products , eggs , chicken , fish etc is also recommended. You can also use protein supplements like B protein powder in milk in limitation.

If there is dandruff using ketoconazole shampoo twice weekly is also good.
