Question: My 12 yr old son has had these bumps on his knees and elbows for months. We now found 2 more on his back. What are they and are they contagious? We have pictures.

Brief Answer:
Warts/ Verruca Vulgaris

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I am dr.kakkar (dermatologist). I have gone through your query and I have reviewed the Images

I can see numerous light colored/ pinkish, growths which appear to have a rough surface. They seem like Warts/ Verruca Vulgaris.
Warts are an infection caused by Human Papilloma Virus (HPV). Yes, they are contagious and may spread by autoinoculation to other parts of the body as well as to others in contact with the infected person.
They need to be removed either with electrocautery ablation or CO2 Laser.

Our pediatrician looked at them and said they weren't warts but thought they could be molluscum. She wasn't sure. They're very pearly looking and firm. I've never seen warts look like that but they don't seem to match the description of molluscum either. What do you think? Could they be milia or eczema?

Brief Answer:
Likely to be warts. I would want you to upload a few more better Images

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Even I did thought about these being molluscum but none of them seem to have a central umblication/ dent which is very characteristic of molluscum. Color is not a definitive/ distinguishing feature and both of these can be firm and pearly/ pinkish.
May be you can upload a few more clear, sharp, focused and close up Images so that I am able to assess them more closely. No, they are not milia or something else.
