Brief Answer:
can take upto 10 days

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic,

Looks like your daughter is suffering from upper respioratory tract infection.

Upper respiratory tract infections are usually viral in nature and hence require only symptomatic treatment.

Please continue the medicines prescribed your doctor.

Along with the medicines she can take antiihistamines if her nose is running. Ask your doctor for a prescription.

For the blocked nose she can use decongestant nose drops like otrivin P. She can instill 2 drops in each nostril twice daily for 4 days and follow it up with steam.

For the cough she can take honitus syrup. 1 spoon 3 times a day for 4 days.

She should drink plenty of warm fluids and get plenty of rest. She should take vitamin C rich fruits like orange, mosambi or lemon.

Voice rest is a must. No screaming or whispering.

For complete improvement she can take upto 10 days.

Regards,
Dr Rajkishori Godhi.
