Brief Answer:
you can take it

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

penicillin-V (phenoxymethyl-penicillin) is the right initial choice for the treatment of streptococcal tonsillitis. Penicillin-V has to be taken for 10 days to eradicate streptococcus. Penicillin-V may cause an allergic reaction even days after you've started taking it. Insect (?) bites may also cause an allergic reaction sometimes. Piriton is an antihistamine and is appropriate for the treatment of alllergic reactions.

Let me add though that tonsillitis with cough usually suggests a viral etiology (not streptococcus that is). Another thing to consider is that if the allergic reaction was caused by penicillin-V then this drug has to be stopped. Finally if the cough occurred after the skin lesions appeared then it can be related to allergy as well. Therefore you'd better visit your GP for re-assessment.

Kind Regards!
