Question: I took a tour in Israel from Februay 11th through February 21st. A lot of people on the tour came down with bad colds or broncatis. I picked it up around the 19th and came home with it. I went to an Urgent Care facility where they diagnosed it as Broncatis. I was given a Z-Pack (antibiotic) and a broncial inhaler, along with some pills for cough. I have not used them for two weeks.
Since my return home, I have had tingling and cold hands/feet during the night and less during the day. Most every night, my left arm is totally numb, although I am careful to note that I did not sleep on it (most times). During the day, most of these symptoms reside except I keep tingling feeling on the tips of my fingers.
In addition, during this same timeframe, I have a very difficult time falling asleep, where in the past, this has never been a problem. I go to bed at 10pm and get up at 6pm. However, I do not fall asleep until around 2am and still get up at 6am.
Also, I still have a runny nose and cough up clear flem, although nothing near as bad as it was when I first came home from the trip.
Finally, I am still dizzy (a feeling of sudden loss of balance). This happens 2-3 times during the day. I thought it was associated with weening off of Xanax, but that was finished XXXXXXX 2, 2017.
I know this is alot of symptoms, and maybe or may be not related. However, the numbness/tingling/cold in the hands and feet are the most concerning. The most unpleasant is the inability to get to sleep.

Brief Answer:
All these symptoms are not related to each other.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
I have gone through the detailed history you have given.
I don't think all these symptoms are related.
Your sleeping problem is mostly due to weaning from Xanax. May I know why you were on Xanax?
Your tingling /numbness /cold in hands and feet can be due to vitamin B12 deficiency or diabetes.
So please let me know if you have ever checked for vitamin B12 level and blood sugar levels.
And sometimes viral infection can stay longer. So your running nose and white phlegm are mostly due to the same viral infection which you caught in Isreal.
So do steam inhalation and warm water gargles 5-6 times a day. Don वरी this running nose will definitely go soon.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
