Question: My husband has pain that starts in his upper stomach and goes down. Cramping, bloating, no bowel movement in 3 days. The pain radiates through his abdomen.

Thank you for the query.

Such symptoms can be caused by bowels obstruction. As he is over the age of 50, colon cancer can be the reason of such obstruction.
With the obstruction he should also be unable to pass gasses. Nausea can appear.

It is strongly recommended for him to go to ER. Abdominal x-ray has to be done to rule out the obstruction. If its ruled out, colonoscopy should be scheduled as the next step.
