Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Nodes In The Neck

default
Posted on Tue, 12 Jul 2016
Question: I found a swollen neck lymph node on Friday, but it had a stone like protrusion sticking out of it. The swelling has gone down but the protrusion out of the lymph node remains. It's approx 0.5cm in size and hard, like a stone. I'm waiting for my doc appointments and test results, but I can't think of anything else besides cancer. What else could it be? Looking for theories to replace the cancer thoughts constantly on my mind.

Brief Answer:
Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Based on your description and the history that you gave, its unlikely that this would be a malignancy related lymph node swelling.

This can be related to an infectious cause especially with the rapid regression in size which is not usually associated with malignancy.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
