I am sorry to hear that you are expereincing leg swelling. This could be do to heart failure or kidney failure as you alluded to but you have no history of either. Then the most common problems that cause swelling is medications like norvasc or Actos, Hypothyroidism, blood clots or DVT or just hot weather.

Please list all your medications so I can reviewed them for possible edema side effects.
