Stye is because of bacterial infection of gland of Zeiss and moll of eyelids. It presents as a painful swelling on the eyelid margin.
The treatment is by use of antibiotic eye drops like moxifloxacin and oral analgesic drugs.
Applying hot compression provides symptomatic relief.
