Brief Answer: No serious panic, ENT opinion Detailed Answer: Hi and thanks for the query, It is very imperative to know if you are experience any pain, or its just a feeling of discomfort around the throat. In case it were actually some fish bone stuck in there, we would expect to have some pain, swelling and some difficulties in breathing or swallowing with time. The normality of X rays and camera views , in my opinion are reassuring that there should not be anything so serious. In case symptoms came back, and you are really convinced of the aggravation of your clinical state, I will suggest you seek the opinion of an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist. A review by him could be helpful in this case. What you describe really should not cause any serious panic. use of drugs that reduce oedema and inflammation, coupled with appropriate antibiotics and pain killers in case of pain should be sufficient as you wait to see your doctor. Your doctor could be right to think about anxiety. It is however more prudent that this be confirmed by an ENT specialist's opinion. Kind regards. Dr Bain

Brief Answer: ENT specialist s opinion required. Detailed Answer: Hi and thanks for the query, The updates might require that you get a new and proper clinical review once more. A throat examination, coupled with a fibroscopy (visualizing the throat and associated ENT areas using a tube and special lighting) by an ENT specialist might be proper to get done. Mucus coming up, especially if it is yellowish could be an indication of persistent inflammation or an infection. Considering that there is no gradual fading away or progressive reduction in the intensity of symptoms, I suggest a proper consultation once again. Kind regards. Please, feel free asking further questions in case of need. Wishing you the best of health. Dr Bain

Brief Answer: Possible to feel good and live better Detailed Answer: Hi and thanks for the update, I totally agree with my colleague this could anxiety. However, a proper review and appropriate tests, preferably from your ENT specialist would be most welcome in case symptoms persist or escalate. I understand how difficult it can be to remove one s mind from such a direction, but I know you can. Meditation does help some people. A personal decision to accept a state of feeling good is help. It might sound absurd and difficult, but with a firm decision and concentration, it really works. Appropriate use of spare time, chatting with friends, reading story books or books of interest and exercise are all means of getting calmer. Ensuring you get enough rest and a good sleep are all useful. Believe in the fact that you can be ok, you are ok, Think very positive and always know you are a billion times in a state of a far away better state of health than a billion others. Personal conviction of a state of good health might be difficult to achieve, but I assure is a great medicine on its own. Kind regards. Dr Bain
