Question: Well, the format didn't help - I have a sore throat (mostly just beyond the roof of my mouth,) some swelling below my lower jaw and cough spasms in response to a "scratchy" throat. Pain is about a 2, more when swallowing. No fever. For about a week, w/o much change. Whatcha think?

Brief Answer:
upper respiratory tract infection, guidelines provided.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

* As per my clinical experience, this indicates upper respiratory infection with
systemic manifestations.

* My recommendations at present

- Drink more liquids preferably organic tea, coffee.
- Do gargles with salted lukewarm water added peppermint oil 3 times a day.
- Consume 2 gms of turmeric powder in 25 ml of skimmed milk, 5 ml of pure
honey 2 times a day as herbal healers.
- Avoid all spices, cold drink, smoking if consuming.
- Avoid exposure to dusty weather.
- Continue current medications.

Do follow up about the progress after 24 hours or early as per the need.
Thanks.
