Question: I have a sore throat and cough now for about three + weeks tonight I took flashlight and looked in my mouth. The roof of my mouth and throat looked yellowish with spidery looking veins. What's up with that ?

The symptoms described by you could be the features of Acute pharyngitis. Do not worry! The spidery veins are the congested and engorged blood vessels which become prominent during the stage of acute infection. The yellowish looking throat is the thinned out mucosa due to repeated hawking, coughing and swallowing. Do not worry! Both the above mentioned features are part of the inflammatory process.
