Question: My throat started hurting after drinking some Coke Zero and now it hurt to swallow my own saliva can someone please tell me what is going on with my throat?!

You seem to have acute pharyngitis. you will get over soon.
Warm salt water gargles thrice a day will definitely help you local inflammation. you can also take one dose of ibuprofen that would reduce swelling of throat and ease pain.

it may not be coke alone, it may be chilled carbonated beverages.
You can try drinking normal temp coke and see if it causes similar problem.
