Suggest Treatment For Sore Bruise On Foot
Question: I scrapped the upper part of my foot 4 months ago pretty bad. It took a few months for the wound to close. Now that it's close it's been more than 2 months and it doesn't want to dry. It's still pink and no signs of progress. How can I help for my scrape to dry.? XXXX

Should I continue to put ointments on it or just keep it clean??
Should I keep the wound open or covered with a gauze??
I clean it daily with a proper soap and water?? Is that ok??

Hi,
The problem is that this is a big wound and would need so much time for skin to be able to grow over and cover it. At this time, the best solution is a skin graft. This would lead to healing within a month. Please, ask you doctors about this. If this cannot be done, this wound would take so much time to heal and may never really get there.
I hope this helps. Cleansing with proper water and soap is okay. Strongly consider getting it grafted.
