Brief Answer:
Need thorough evaluation..

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

There are wide range of conditions which can make one wake up from sleep. The causes vary from sleep apnea, a cardiac condition, hyperacidity/GERD, mental stress/anxiety and so on. She will need a thorough evaluation to identify the cause and treat it. Based on the short details you provided, I am unable to pinpoint a particular specialty, there the best approach would be to visit a physician nearby and discuss about this issue. He/she can refer her to a psychiatrist for sleep retraining measures and medications (if required) once all other probably reasons are excluded.

Let me know if you have any other specific questions.

Regards
