Question: Hi, my name is XXXXXXX My stepson has a cold/sinus infection and is on 10 mg Prozac. I am being cautious at what to give him cause he was on Zoloft previously and had a bad drug interaction. He is also allergic to Benydryll. So wondering what I can give him for over the counter meds.?

Brief Answer:
Please provide more details

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I would require more details before giving an advice.
Let me be more specific:
(1) his temperature
(2) his symptoms (runny/stuffy nose, sneezing, cough, sputum etc)
(3) when did the symptoms start
(4) what kind of trouble did he have in the past and which drug was the cause

General advice about such infections includes:
- washing the nostrils with normal saline
- decongestants might help with the stuffy nose but won't speed up recovery
- watching for high fever or other signs of a worsening situation.
- antibiotics are not usually needed

I'll be waiting for your input.

Kind Regards!
