Posted on Wed, 28 Dec 2016
Question: I had a cold in late October which lingered on and then developed a sinus infection, I was prescribed Augmentin and developed nausea, diarrhea, chills, mild headache and achiness after 2 days on the antibiotic. I continued the antibiotic 3 more days and have been off of it for 3 days and I don't feel any better. Did I have a reaction to the antibiotic or do have a virus?

Brief Answer:
Acute sinusitis

Detailed Answer:
You have encountered acute sinusitis, continue antibiotics for around a week
it is not any drug reaction..symptoms indicate acute sinusitis only
Take some decongestants also
Take a steroid nasal spray twice daily
Get a ct pns done and send me the pictures
The episode may take 10 days to subside
