Question: i JUST RECEIVED MY FIRST SHOT OF FIRMAGON. i UNDERSTAND THE SIDE EFFECTS. i AM WONDERING WHAT I CAN TAKE EITHER DRUG OR NATURAL SUBSTANCES TO COMBAT THE SIDE EFFECTS WITHOUT DAMAGING THE STOPPING OF TESTOSTERONE. PARTICULARLY HOT FLASHES, MODE SWINGS, CHILLS, TIREDNESS, NIGHT SWEATS.

No specific therapy is designed to treat these side effects of all which you mentioned.
These adverse effects should settle by themselves, if not they warrant drug discontinuation if felt intolerable by the patient.
However conservatively they can be treated with a short course if antiinflammatory medications like Ibuprofen 400mg.Please check with your physician if he can prescribe this medication to you.
The only non pharmacological measure which you can take is to avoid wearing tight belts and tight trousers.
The shift from FIRMAGON to Lupron is advisable as FIRMAGON can exacerbate heart, lung or a kidney disease.
Lupron is relatively free of such adverse side effects.
