Brief Answer:
Are you on any medications? Do you cough often?

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Blood shots could be related to trauma or side effects of medications, especially blood thinners. Are you on any medications? Also, at what times do you first notice this? Because it comes and goes spontaneously, it is unlikely to be an infection. This make other causes of trauma and medications use to be more common. Even sneezing and cough forcefully can raise the pressure in veins and cause a blood spot in the eye. Some other possible conditions might be diabetes, hypertension, etc.

I will say monitor only and review to see whether it could be explained by one of the above possible causes. If none is applicable and this persists, I will suggest that you see an ophthalmologist for review. Also, consider sending an image to me for more insights alongside responses to the above questions.

I wish you well and hope to hear back from you.
