Suggest Treatment For Severe Lower Back Pain

default
Posted on Mon, 13 Apr 2015
Question: for a couple days I had severe lower back pain and yesterday went to my chiropractor and she said it wasn't a tear or anything like that. I get low back pain a lot so I wasn't too concerned. Last night the pain moved to my left side and was so severe I couldn't even roll over and any movement seemed to trigger the pain to a 10. Today my lower left side is in constant pain and no position seems to relieve it. I have a high tolerance for pain and this pain is really pretty bad and getting worse.

Brief Answer:
explore for spine, kidney, herpes causes with physical check upand tests

Detailed Answer:
hi
If pain is so severe then early physical examination by an orthopedic doctor is a must. The image posted shows bilateral spots and may or may not be related to this pain.Herpes is one condition where nerves are attacked but it gives unilateral pain and rashes, so a physical check up is necessary to evaluate the exact cause.Other cause for pain in sides of back is kidney(nephritis, stone) so an ultrasound of abdomen to rule out along with urine analysis may be done
disc pain can be acute in sudden prolapse in spine and an MRI can be done to evaluate spine.Your treating doctor may refer accordingly to specialists
Pain medicines are for symptomatic relief only, one should go for diagnosis and specific treatment
This is possible only after physical check up

yea.. I thought it was disc pain because the pain is in one particular spot and not radiating like my normal back pain is. But I find it odd that the pain began near my lower left back and now pain has moved to my left side; in the middle between my sacrum and hip? Do you think i should visit my chiropractor again or just go right in to the doctor?

Brief Answer:
consultation with doctor or visit to ER

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for query.
In all acute conditions of pain, chiropractor exercises are withheld till diagnosis, acute spasm gets over
a consultation with a doctor would be my first choice to be on safe side
best wishes,
