Question: My left leg knee is getting pain from couple of month ,Last Month ,i had visited to ortho.surgen,he suggested some test & i had did the same. result was that ,report shows lack of vitamin D & increased the level of uric acid.
then he suggested some course of tablet to increase the level of vitamin D & to decrease the Uric acid. thease tablet helped lot, but i cannot say it is 100% effective.

Canyou tell me what is exact reason of this issue.

From the description that you have provided, you seem to be having two conditions which is co-existing, which seems to be the cause for joint pains at such an early age.

I will detail you on the different conditions as follows:

- Vitamin D deficiency: It is quite normal to find vitamin D deficiency in many patients. Sufficient amounts of vitamin D is necessary for bone growth. If you find to have deficiency, vitamin D supplements can be taken to replenish it.


- Gout- which is the name of the condition caused by increased levels of uric acid in the blood. Causes can be overweight, consuming high amounts of meat and fish, some medicines like diuretics. You are required to take anti gout tablets to reduce the uric acid elements in blood.You are advised to avoid meat like beef, pork, lamb, chicken liver, alcohol.
