Suggest Treatment For Severe Heartburn While On Clindamycin
Question: I took Clindamycin and I'm having sever heartburn. I have drank several glasses of water and it has helped and seems to be subsiding. I'm not taking any more Clindamycin.

I read carefully your question and I understand your concern.
I don't know for what you are taking clindamycin. But it is true that it is a rather strong medicine that causes stomach side effects.
I would recommend taking it after food.
If you have decided to not take it anymore, talk with your doctor so they can substitute it with any other antibiotic that will cure you the same as clindamycin and that wont give you those side effects. Every medicine though has its side effects, especially in the stomach.
If you are not better when you read this answer, then you can take one tablet of Omerprazole or Ranitidine to help feeling better with the heartburn.
