Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough In A Child

Question: My daughter (10 years, 40 KG) is suffering from cough. She is just recovered from viral fever, however cough is the problem now. She gets cough in her throad whenever ahe tries to laugh. She is also feeling sleepy since 2 days, may be because of weakness.

Please provide your counsel.
