Brief Answer:
Surgery is needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for posting your query.
I have seen the attached report. Large disc protrusion and nerve compression can be corrected surgically. Nerve decompression is needed for the pain to improve.
You can consult a neurosurgeon regarding the best type of surgery that will help you. Decompression therapy will also help but will provide a temporary relief only.
I hope this answers your query.
In case you have additional questions or doubts, you can forward them to me, and I shall be glad to help you out.
Wishing you good health.

Brief Answer:
Minimally invasive procedure is better.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
Since only one disc is affected minimally invasive procedure should be sufficient.
Hope my answer is helpful.
