The most important thing however is making the right diagnosis that what you have is scabies. Your doctor could easily make this from the classical presentation of the eruptions and usual pain, itches and involvement of the areas in between fingers and feet (hands and feet are preferred areas). If not, your doctor could be useful of diagnosing.
Treatment involves mainly a drugs and hygiene. Topical permethrin 5% cream is the main drug used. Clothing and bedding of persons with scabies should be washed in hot water and dried in a hot dryer.
