Suggest Treatment For Right-sided Breast Cancer

Question: Hi! I'm a 35 year old woman. Diagnosed 6 months ago with breast cancer in my right breast. Initial mammogram and ultrasound also showed a complex cyst in my left breast at the same time as the diagnosis of cancer in my right breast. I've recently completed chemotherapy and had surgery to remove remaining cancerous tissue. I had a follow-up breast MRI where I was told everything was normal. Recently, I've had mild and occasional achiness in my left axillary area (same side as the complex cyst). My question for you is this - do breast MRIs also capture the axillary area, or is separate imaging required to visualize what's going on in that location?

Brief Answer:
Yes MRI is fine for this

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

Indeed, MRI is the best imaging for breast and axilla. So separate imaging is not required.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your answers! And are MRIs fairly sensitive in showing cancerous tissue? In other words, if the MRI shows negative results, should I stop worrying about it?
