Question: Hi, I was diagnosed with rhematoid arthritis, fibromyalgia, ibs and cyatica 3yrs ago. I would like to know how bad it will get and also how it will affect me during menopause

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.

Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that this cannot be predicted as every individual reacts differently to these diseases . But still if you are RF and Anti CCP antibodies positive the prognosis is bad . Ageing and menopause doesnt have any relation with rheumatoid arthritis . But yes your fibromyalgia can worsen with menopause due to hormonal shifts .Regarding sciatica , as degenerative changes progress with age it may worsen or remain constant even .
