Question: my son was seen and treated for impetigo with Keflex and steroid cream on last Saturday. he us not showing any improvement. hoe long before it gets better?

Impetigo is caused by bacterial infection and is treated with antibiotics. Once antibiotics like Keflex is started the symptoms should start subsiding within 3 days. Since your son was started on medication on Saturday and he is still not improving, there is a possibility that the bacteria is resistant to keflex and requires another medication. Culture and sensitivity analysis can help select appropriate antibiotics.

I'd recommend that you follow up with treating physician for reconsideration of medication.
