Suggest Treatment For Post Infectious Irritable Bowel Syndrome

Question: Seven weeks ago I started to have stomach pain, not acute but a general pain throughout accompanied by bloating, irregular bowel movements and headaches.h On occasion the pain would totally subside for a day or two but come back. The condition was diagnosed as post infectious irritable bowel syndrome for which I take dicetel/50mg three times per day. I also drink a lot of water and have significantly restricted my caffeine and alcohol intake.

My question, since I am not getting better, is, can you suggest anything else that I should try either by way of a drug or diet. I have had stool, blood, and urune testa as well as an X-ray, an ultra sound, a colonoscopy and endoscopy---all negative.

All tests done are negative.
If Dicetel is not providing relief, you can try Librax twice a day.
Take prokinetic medications like Levosulpiride which will provide relief from bloating.

Discuss with your doctor before changing medications.
