Suggest Treatment For Polyps Inside Uterus

Question: A month ago I had a uterus biopsy and saline injected to see inside my uterus. They found 6 polyps. I had surgery yesterday to remove them and the surgeon said there was only 1 polyp. Can polyps dissolve?

Brief Answer: Yes they can- hormone dependent Detailed Answer: HI. Very good question. The POLYPS are usually swelling of the normal mucosal lining and are hormone dependent in uterus. Meaning they will appear in different according to the hormonal cycle stages. So it is possible that the single polyp which was found on surgery was big enough or has undergone such changes that it could not vanish with hormonal changes. This is the one which needs to be removed and subjected to histological examination. So have no doubts , wait for the biopsy report and follow what your Doctor / Gynecologist says.
