Brief Answer:
Fat necrosis / cellulitis

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.

To recapitulate:
Male / 53 - 4 days - noted a lump - popped - clear oily substance - left alone and looks to be healed but the lump remains the same ...

My thoughts :
There might be in fact a pimple developing but you popped it before it gained its full abscess stage. This means there was just an inflammation or cellulitis. And when you popped up, the necrotic fat was pushed out in the form of oily clear substance.
Since the process of inflammation is same, you are still feeling the lump under the skin.
The abdominal wall has a lot of fat. Hence this happens particularly in this area.

I would advise you the following:
Leave this alone.
Wait and watch.
Let the body take its own course of healing.
Watch for : increase in redness, size, pain. If yes, consult a Doctor to get a physical / clinical examination done and get a few investigations like blood: CBC, sugar; and get a prescription based medicines.
Please do not touch / pop this again.

I hope this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for any further relevant queries or if you feel there is a gap-of-communication. . .
