Question: Hi, I had my circumssion last Saturday. I had phimosis with acute bon..I am having the pain . Still having bandaged and taking painkiller medicine prescribed. When the wound wil heal and by when I should remove the bandage & stop painkiller medicine . And I m not using underwear till now after surgery and have bath every alternate dat

Thanks for your query ,based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have undergone surgery of Circumcision for Phimosis one week back and still getting pain at the site of surgery .

The dressing which you still have needs to be changes now and inspect the wound .

Normally it takes 2-3 weeks for complete healing .

You have to continue antibiotics and anti inflammatory medication for 2 weeks

Wash and clean the wound with warm water and Betadine and use topical antibiotic ointment like Soframycin twice daily .

It should be fine within 3 weeks .
