Question: I've been put on bed rest today because I told my GP I was feeling like I was going to have another Mti. She told me this morning to take another statin this morning since I take them at night. Tonight take the rest of my meds like I normally do. ( pravastatin, atenolol, cozaar, morphine, hydrocodone, aspirin . Been feeling light headed all day, sweating off and on, slight headache still. Dizzy if I get up. I have eaten and have been drinking my fluids. She wants to see me on weds morning. Is this the care that I should be getting, since I've had three strokes already. She did tell me to go to the hospital if things got worse. Just was wondering ?

Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

I am concerned about the symptoms you have reported. Primarily I'm concerned about your dizziness as well as sweating. this can sometimes be an indicator of an acute cardiovascular problems affecting your heart.

If your symptoms are persistent I think it would be in your best interest to be evaluated as soon as possible by your local doctor. If your doctor is not available immediately I would proceed to your local emergency department for a comprehensive examination and evaluation.

I am concerned that waiting until Wednesday would put you at risk for possible further decline in your health.

Thank you again for sending your question.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
