Suggest Treatment For Persistent Cold
Question: I m having persistent cold and it gets aggravated with the air conditioner. Always running nose, stuffy nose, head ache, currently red and water eyes, and lot of sneezing. I always walk around with kit of tissues while in office. Feels quite embarrassing while taking to others and always a nose block. In addition to this, I also have wheezing trouble and I keep coughing and need to take an inhaler almost everyday. Now a days the soreness if breath has increased a lot that I m unable to walk more than 500 metres. I need to rely on inhalers for such short distance as well. I feel like having a tight chest and bad congestion as well.Which doctor should I consult? I m getting really frustrated coz of this. What could be the reason and what would be the remedy? Do I have 2 different problems? Please help! I take esonophil 250 mg inhalers almost everyday.
Brief Answer:
Possible Rhinosinusitis with Obstructive lung disease?Need confirmation.
Detailed Answer:
Hello, Madam.
I understand your concern.
I have gone through your query in detail.
You probably seem to have two conditions, one related to Sinuses and second in the lungs. They need to be evaluated separately.
For sinus-related symptoms, I advise you to get CT scan of the paranasal sinuses.
For Chest symptoms-Initially pulmonary function tests are required.Based on the results, further investigation may be carried out to carve therapeutic options.
The possibility of asthma and COPD has to be ruled out.
Further management is based on test results.
Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
