Question: Dear Doctor,

I had long anxiert and stress history from sept 2015 till Nov 2016.
First 6 months was huge period and after that it was started setteling after my multiple convlusive test results. The anxiety was related to contacting hiv in my last encounter on sept 2015.

However the happiness is not constant and now Dec 2016 , i went to one message parlour with my friend and had few kissies and sucked the breast of girl and while nude body message penetrated on bed( no sex ( anal/ veginal). I thought this was not the way of contacting STD and was not feeling any problem.

But anxiety is leaving me along and my thoughts are pulling me backward

- i am experiencing full body burning sensation with temp of 37to 37.5 degree
- neck discomfort ( like someone pressing or chocking my neck ( feels like lypmh node is sweeling but cant see any swelling at all)
- hands and feet burning ( occassionally)
- breathing disconfort
- throat irritation and sometime burning tongue
- Shallowness in heart and chest.
- hiv infection thoughts while sleeping( no deep sleep at night)
- Skin irritations ( hands and legs) like we feel dry skin in winters ( feels like i will get the rash).
- feeling sad and unhappy all the time.
- cough and feeling little cold.
- pins and needle pain in shoulders
- muscle and join pain( very mind)

Now my doctors are saying u are not risk of any std and not require any testing since the penetrative sex didnt happen. But i am not able to conclude if these symptoms R related to STD or stress and anxiety?

Can stress manifest such discomfort in 1 month anxiety and body with constant anxiety period of last 15 months?
If yes how to manage this and get out of this problem again?

Brief Answer:
It is anxiety

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

I can conclude with ease that the mentioned symptoms are representative of anxiety and that need to be tackled. My conclusion is based on the fact that there is
1. Past history of anxiety disorder
2. No disorder on the earth can explain all these symptoms in totality other than stress and anxiety
3. Manifestation of these symptoms after a stressful incident

I like to assure you that anxiety can involve all of your body systems and that is the only explanation for such varied presentation involving all body systems.

I also like to assure you that none of the STDs manifest in similar fashion and non penetrative sex almost ensures that there was no mixing of body fluids and no risk for serious sexually transmitted infections.

Now regarding management the first and more most thing is to accept that it is anxiety and I am suffering with anxiety problem.

The next step is to seek treatment from nearby psychiatrist in your city. He may run some blood tests before making a prescription of anti anxiety medication.
The third thing is to have a healthy life style and stress management.

I hope this assists you.

Hi Doctor,

Thanks for suggestions, but i would like to ask that all the symptoms r so real that its difficult to imagine of its anxiety related or specific to hiv. Bcoz in every where in multiple sites they are matching to hiv disease which is making me crazy.

Espl this neck discomfort and feverish feeling , and pain in armpits.

Anxiety is just a thought , can a thought is able to create so much serious problem?

I am trying hard to get rid of it but it seems like not leaving me alone.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for follow up.

What you get over internet is generic information and match any one's profile.
This is specially true when you interpret every symptom while stressed.
I think that is the difference between information provided by doctor in objective manner and what you interpret in subjective manner.

As per my interpretation the symptoms are clearly indicative of stress and anxiety and I do not see any symptoms which suggests HIV.

I hope this answers you.
Thanks and regards
