Question: I'm having some trouble with my throat, I'm a person who suffers with tonsilitis but there are no white blisters on my tonsils this time, there were a couple of weeks ago but they went away. The right side of my throat is painful when I swallow mostly in the mornings and most painful at night. The tonsil on the left side is small and smooth, but the tonsil on the right side is all jagged and lumpy also a lot more swollen. Could you help me please?

Brief Answer:
As explained in details below

Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit specific and self explanatory.
The problem faced by you of enlarged, inflamed and painful tonsil on one side, there might have been an attack of peril tonsillitis on right side which has persisted on to cause you the symptoms.
Unilateral tonsillitis has to be investigated further to see the cause.
I would advise the following in such a situation.
Continue a course of proper antibiotic, anti-inflammatory medicines for 3 weeks and see the results.
If there is complete resolution, there may not be any need to have any further worry other than keeping it under observation.
If the problem persists, further investigations will be needed like MRI of the neck or even tonsillectomy for removal of the cause and to get his to pathological diagnosis.
I hope, this answer helps you, please feel free to ask for further relevant queries if you feel that there is a gap of communication.
