Suggest Treatment For Pain After Straining Neck And Back

default
Posted on Mon, 12 Jan 2015
Question: I strained my neck and back over the weekend, and got a chiropractic adjustment yesterday. My lower back feels better, but my neck still hurts, primarily back and left side (like a crick). I'm almost positive that it's a muscle strain, but should I be concerned at all that it's a coronoid artery? I'm a 55 year old male in overall good health.

Brief Answer:
Coronoid artery disease has specific signs

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for posting
I have gone through your query and understand your concern. The muscle stiffness is associated with the restricted movement.Do you have any restriction of neck or shoulder movement ?
It does not looks to be carotid artery disease as it has very specific symptoms which do not fit in your case.
My suggestion would be to have hot water fomentation along with Ibuprofen and muscle relaxant (prescription only)drug thiocolchicoside.
Hope this helps and I shall be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
