Suggest Treatment For Non Hodgkin Lymphoma
Question: My Father, Mr KS Dhami, has been diagnosed with Lymphoma-Non Hodgkin and the same is suggested as malignant. I and the entire family is extremely disturbed for last one week.
He has been already operated for Lymph Nodes removal and treatment awaited for Chemo-Therapy.
As suggested by XXXXXXX Sir, after discussion with you, I tried to log in the Health Care Magic, but was unable to send the documents to Oncologist for a second Opinion.
I would humbly request you to please help me to get a second opinion on the Treatment as I am extremely disturbed as I am jostling with the Treatment alone.
I have attached all the reports ie Biopsy Report & Pet CT Scan Report for your perusal and due suggestions. If any further details are required, I can personally speak to anyone for the same.
Looking forward to your guidance as to how I can proceed with the second Opinion through Health Care Magic as time/diagnosis is crucial for correct treatment.

i see you are extremely distressed over your fathers condition. But fortunately your fathers has chances of cure.
NHL is a type of cancer effecting lymph nodes. It responds very well to chemotherapy and some patients have complete cure. Your father is fortunate in a sense that he has got cancer for which treatment is present with very good outcomes.
He requires some more tests especially IHC on biopsy block, and bone marrow biopsy.
CHOP chemotherapy is the standard of care for NHL. If IHC shows CD 20positivity then one more drug known as Rituximab is given along with CHOP, this is R CHOP. Survival rates have increased with the advent of Rituximab and it comes under targeted therapy, without the usual chemotherapy side effects.
Therapy for NHL is usually well tolerated with minor side effects. The treating doctor will explain to you all the side effects and precautions to be taken.
So do not worry and do not waste time. It would be better if treatment is started at the earliest.
