Brief Answer:
Good treatments are available for this.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXXXXX

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted the diagnosis, investigation report and medications for your father's illness.

Your father is suffering from myasthenia gravis (MG). In MG, there are antibodies produced by thymus gland (located in chest) against nerve-muscle junction. As a result, there is weakness of muscles, especially muscles of eyes, speaking, swallowing, breathing and limbs.

Myestin (pyridostigmine) helps in improving the weakness on a temporary basis. Azoran (azathioprine) helps in reducing the antibody level, and helps in long-term benefit.

If the thymus gland is enlarged, then, thymectomy operation (removal of thymus gland) can help him a lot.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,
