Doctor has prescribed b6&b3 Dry SYrup having contain of Lactic acid bacillus , pyridoxine hydrochloride ip, nicotinamide ip , also dr has prescribed Augmentin syrup along with phenylephrine hydrochloride & chlorpheniramne syrup. He had also given fevago - Paracetamol paediatric syrup for fever.
Do we really required all medicines to cure mouth ulcer ? As baby is giving hard time consuming all the medicine at once. Please consult and guide. Thanking you

Brief Answer:
Aphthous ulcers - stop antibiotic

Detailed Answer:
Hi...by what you quote this seems like an aphthous ulcer which comes due to stress of fever or viral illness or multivitamin deficiency. I suggest you stop antibiotic Augmentin.

Give only Fevago for fever in the dose prescribed, that too only if temperature is more than 100F.

Apart from this only multivitamin syrup.

You can stop all other drugs.

I will be glad if you can send me over an image over this website.

Brief Answer:
Suggestions on mouth ulcers

Detailed Answer:
Hi...
1. As I have already mentioned, it could be due to stress of fever, viral illness or vitamin deficiency.
2. You can feed the baby non spicy food like curd rice or cold milk or ice cream.
3. Quicker recovery - Kenacort mouth gel can be applied on the ulcer with finger tip. Wash your hands well before this.
4. It may take 5-7 days to heal well.
Please do not worry about the kid's food intake if the kid is active and playful.

If you are happy with my suggestions, kindly rate it. Any further queries are welcome.

Thank you for providing valuable suggestions. As suggested we have stop giving antibiotic medicine and had continue giving multi vitamin syrup to baby. Baby had no fever from day before yesterday. But on her legs , hands and between two legs we found red pimples. Is this anything serious do we have to consult dermotologist. Is there any cream that we can apply on affected area? What to be taken care of which will help not spreading it further.? I have attach actual picture of affected aera from baby's leg.

Brief Answer:
Insect bites allergy

Detailed Answer:
Hi...
Thus is insect bite allergy.
1. No need to consult a dermatologist.
2. You can apply Calamine lotion for soothing.
3. It might spread, as it is an allergy. To prevent you need to prevent further mosquito bites.
4. If it's becoming severe you can use any over the counter antiallergics. I would prefer Cetrizine.
