Posted on Mon, 23 Jan 2017
Question: My Last LMP was 7 Dec with cycle of 31 days. I started Pills(Crisinta LS; taking these from last 2 and half year) on 13th dec and I have been taking those regularly. On 23rd I missed one but on 24 I took 2 tablets. again I missed on 25 but took 2 tablet on 26 dec. On 26 dec I had unprotected sex with my husband(condom break) . then just to make sure I took unwanted 72 with in 14 hrs.
If I do calculation On 26 I was near to my fertile windows.
Till today (2/Jan) I didn't get any bleeding or symptoms except pain in lower abdomen and bit pressure on vagina(not cramps) specially while carrying heavy things like my 3 yrs old daughter.
Today morning I did Home Preg. Test but it came negative.
Am I Pregnant? If Not why didn't it bleed after unwanted 72.
I don't want to get pregnant now . When could I expect my next periods

Brief Answer:
Due to the effect of oral contraceptives

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Bleeding after emergency contraceptive pills usually occurs within 7-10 days. So, you can wait for the bleeding to occur.
Moreover, if you are taking oral contraceptive pills like XXXXXXX then there are absolutely no chances of pregnancy.
Bleeding also might have not occurred due to the effect of the oral contraceptives you are taking.
Since the urine pregnancy test is negative, then the pregnancy is ruled out.
I will suggest you to wait for the bleeding to occur for at least 7 days after stopping the oral contraceptives.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

I have stopped Crisinta LS the day I took Unwanted 72 and didn't had sex after that.
Will this effect my cycle?
and also discontionous(like I missed one and then took 2 next day) of Crisinita LS would affect preganacy chances.

Brief Answer:
Wait for 2-3 days

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
The bleeding is likely to occur within 7-10 days of taking emergency contraceptive pill.
Taking oral contraceptive irregularly can decrease its effect and can lead to increased chance of pregnancy.
I will suggest you to get a urine pregnancy test 14 days after intercourse, if no bleeding occurs till then.
